Reality television has two angles, showing you in your best light or your worse. It’s all a matter of how the producers want to utilize your character and personality to fit the narrative of the story that they are telling. The former cast member of Bravo hit series: The Real Housewives of Potomac, Monique Samuels has seen both sides of that light. When she was up, (as Cardi B says) she was stuck. But when she was down, let the kicking begin. Monique showed her life as a mother, wife, businesswoman, and friend. While all things Housewives related would be considered a “new job”, the self-described, fun and bubbly castmate would find herself on the defensive more than she would have liked.
Monique joined the SUAVV Couch with us and our friend DJ Richie Skye, to talk about who she is as a mother, what filming for reality television is like, The Fight with Candiace Dillard, her essential oil line Mila Eve Essentials, her new project Bindertime Stories, and her plans to release more music. While we may think we understand who reality stars are, we only know who their edits show them to be…not anymore.
