Life Couldn’t be More Grand: BK Brasco Cuts a Ribbon, Pops a Bottle, and THE QUESTION.

Life Couldn’t be More Grand: BK Brasco Cuts a Ribbon, Pops a Bottle, and THE QUESTION.

On Saturday, December 5, 2020, VH1’s Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta star, recording artist, entrepreneur, and fashion connoisseur, BK Brasco, hosted a grand opening for his new upscale men’s flagship store, Band of Brothers. Acclaimed as one of the “best-dressed men in Atlanta,” BK’s plush event was fueled by Band of Brothers, Moskato Life, our friends at Sheen Magazine, and Divine Influence PR. The store’s atmosphere is chic with luxurious white and black marble floors filled with racks of vibrant and suave fashion.

The venue is in the heart of Atlanta, next to some of the hottest eateries and clubs. The outside of the store is matte black with bold white BAND OF BROTHERS logo. Once you enter, it is not like typical shops!

I was lucky enough to stay right beside the shop, before Grand Opening, BK was on the move, yes, this brother has hustle! He was selling and chatting customers, very personable!

I got to ask a few quick questions.
Meraki: I know you are so excited, was Fashion always the plan?
BK: Oh, yes, I love Fashion, I have always wanted my own shop and brand.
Meraki: How important is Fabric and quality?
BK: I only have the best; I make sure I know where the garments are coming from and have an input on fabric choice! I want to be there the entire process!
BK: excuse me I really must finish these balloons lol

The man was on the move, I should have known he was going to pop the question!

BK Brasco and Sierra Gates showing off the new engagement ring.

BK knows how to make a night special for everyone, but importantly for his longtime girlfriend, Sierra Gates (VH1 Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta, Beauty Mogul, and CEO of The Glam Shop). The couple entered the event together; as a parking lot full of supporters, family, and friends anticipated the ribbon cutting and official grand opening of the doors. After the doors opened, black curtains dropped and huge letters that spelled out, ‘Marry Me’ lit up the entire room with rose petals pouring on the marble floor.  As Sierra stood shocked staring at the letters, she then turned around to find her king, BK on bended knee.

The couple celebrated their engagement the entire evening while toasting with champagne, as the DJ filled the atmosphere with East Coast Hip Hop and music from today. As customers shopped, danced, and socialized, they also received sponsored bags filled with Black-owned products from Camille Rose, Scotch Porter, Sheen Magazine, The Glamatory, and Adore by Crysie.

Many friends came and celebrated BK, and the plush grand opening: Yandy Smith-Harris & Mendeecees Harris (Love & Hip Hop New York), Erica Mena Samuels & Safaree Samuels (Love & Hip Hop Atlanta/New York), Mimi Faust & Ty Young (Love & Hip Hop Atlanta), Loon (Recording artist, formerly of Bad Boy Records), Bambi & Scrappy (Love & Hip Hop Atlanta), Yung “Joc,” Attorney Kendra Robinson (Love & Hip Hop Atlanta), Spice (Love & Hip Hop Atlanta), Karlie Redd (Love & Hip Hop Atlanta), Sky (Black Ink. Crew), Tiffany Foxx (Recording Artist), Jhonni Blaze (Singer/Songwriter), Dr. Jamal Bryant (Senior Pastor of New Birth), and more.
